Where does tutoring happen?

OneRoom Tutoring is a travelling tutoring business, meaning there is not one location you must come to for tutoring. You tutor comes to you.

Tutoring often happens in the following locations:

- The student's home

- A local library

- A local coffee shop

- An unused space at a parent's office.

Choose a location that maximizes both convenience and focus for your student.

Should the parent be present during tutoring?

If the student is a minor, a parent/guardian/trusted adult MUST be in the building. This does not mean the adult should sit at the table with the student and the tutor -- this is typically more distracting than helpful. The adult should merely be in the building and accessible if necessary.

What does tutoring cost?

Tutoring is an investment in your student's education. OneRoom Tutoring services are provided at a rate per hour. This rate is determined based on the type of tutoring and the location for tutoring.

Homework Help tutoring starts at $90 per hour.
Individualized Learning Plan tutoring starts at $125 per hour.

How do I pay my tutor?

OneRoom Tutoring accepts the following payment types:

Major credit cards (via Square)
Venmo
Cash

Payment is due at time of service unless alternate arrangements have been made ahead of time.
